Clearline LIMS configuration guides

Configuration controls what users see during intake, analysis, review, reporting, exports, and API access. Small setup changes can affect regulated deliverables, so use self-service configuration only where your role and SOP allow it.

Configuration areas#

What your team can manage#

Customer administrators can typically maintain routine client and contact information, user access, and some list values when those tools are enabled. Contact Clearline for new report templates, major workflow changes, integration mappings, SSO setup, data migrations, regulatory wording, or changes that require managed configuration or validation.

When in doubt, open a Clearline Support ticket before changing setup that affects sample identity, result interpretation, QC decisions, or customer deliverables.

Setup change checklist#

  1. Identify the workflow affected by the change.
  2. Confirm who approved the change under your lab SOP.
  3. Review any downstream reports, exports, imports, and API consumers.
  4. Make the change in the correct tenant and record the reason.
  5. Check the affected workflow according to your lab's approved change process before relying on the new setup.
  6. Notify affected users before relying on the new setup.

Support escalation#

Open a Clearline Support ticket for setup changes that require Clearline-managed configuration, report/template work, integration mapping, SSO coordination, or uncertainty about downstream impact.
