Clearline LIMS Documentation

Clearline LIMS is a hosted laboratory information management system for sample intake, analysis tracking, quality review, reporting, and audit-ready records. It is powered by the SENAITE/Bika LIMS workflow model and delivered as a managed Clearline service.

This guide is written for lab staff, lab managers, and client portal users. It explains what you can do in the system, when to use each workflow, and what to send Clearline support when your lab needs configuration changes.

Documentation Scope

The screenshots in this guide are representative Clearline LIMS screens using neutral sample data. The live public demo was checked on June 17, 2026: /login is reachable and renders the Clearline-branded SENAITE login form; the demo root currently returns a server error before login. Authenticated workflow examples were validated against Clearline/SENAITE tenant behavior and upstream SENAITE/Bika documentation.

Source Basis

This manual translates upstream SENAITE and Bika functionality into Clearline customer workflows. See Source Notes for the upstream documentation used and the Clearline-specific interpretation.
