Find and filter assigned samples, worksheets, and results

Use dashboard views, list filters, status columns, and worksheet queues to locate the work assigned to you or your lab team.

Prerequisites#

  • Your account has permission to view the samples, worksheets, or results you need.
  • The records have been registered, received, assigned, or batched according to your lab's workflow.

Start from the dashboard#

  1. Open the Clearline LIMS dashboard.
  2. Review queue cards, recent activity, or shortcuts configured for your role.
  3. Open the list or workflow page that matches your task: samples, worksheets, results, reports, or review.
  4. Confirm you are working in the correct tenant before entering or reviewing data.

Filter sample lists#

  1. Open the samples list.
  2. Use status filters to narrow records by received, in progress, reviewed, published, cancelled, or rejected states used by your lab.
  3. Filter by client, sample type, date range, batch, assigned analyst, or project when those fields are available.
  4. Sort by received date, due date, priority, or sample ID to order the queue.
  5. Open a sample and confirm identifiers before making changes.

Find worksheet work#

  1. Open the worksheets or batches page.
  2. Filter by worksheet status, instrument, department, analyst, or date.
  3. Open the worksheet assigned to your bench, method, or team.
  4. Review included samples before entering results.
  5. Return to the filtered list after saving to continue the queue.

Find results that need action#

  1. Open the results, review, or publication page used by your lab.
  2. Filter by status, analyst, reviewer, department, method, or due date.
  3. Use column search when you know a sample ID, client, or worksheet number.
  4. Open each result record and confirm sample context before review or correction.

Good filtering habits#

  • Clear old filters when a list looks empty unexpectedly.
  • Confirm date ranges before assuming work is missing.
  • Avoid changing records from a filtered list until you confirm you have the right sample.
  • Ask an administrator if you cannot see work that a teammate can see.
