Why can’t I see an action button?
The action may not apply to the current state, or your role may not allow it. For example, a sample must be received before normal result entry, and only authorized reviewers can verify.
Why is a sample not ready to publish?
At least one required analysis may still be unsubmitted, unverified, retracted, rejected, or assigned to an incomplete partition.
Can I delete a client or sample?
Usually no. LIMS systems protect traceability. Use deactivation, cancellation, rejection, or invalidation according to state and SOP. Contact support if a record was created by mistake and has no valid history.
Can I change a Sample ID?
Sample IDs are controlled by the ID server and workflow history. Contact support before renaming or correcting IDs.
Can I add analysis services myself?
Most tenants have Clearline manage analysis services so units, calculations, reports, and specifications remain consistent. Send support the required method details.
Why did my imported instrument file fail?
The file format may not match the configured parser. Check headers, delimiter, sample IDs, and instrument export version. Send support the file and worksheet ID.
Are reports emailed automatically?
Publication behavior is configurable. Some labs email during publish; others save reports and email externally. Follow your tenant’s SOP.
Is the public demo the same as my tenant?
No. A demo may use representative data, simplified setup, or restricted access. Your production tenant is configured for your lab’s clients, tests, reports, and permissions.
