Reference Definitions#

Defines the expected composition and ranges of a reusable QC or reference material.

Example

Define a certified metals control with expected lead and copper values and acceptable ranges for worksheet QC evaluation.

Expected reference results by analysis service
Expected value and permitted ranges
Blank indicator
Hazardous indicator and hazard categories
Connects to: Reference Samples, Analysis Services, worksheets, QC evaluation, and result review.
Configuration guidance: The definition is the reusable target; a Reference Sample is a received or prepared lot/instance. Keep lot-specific information on the instance, not the definition.
