How Clearline LIMS is priced
Clearline is a managed LIMS, so pricing has two parts: a scoped implementation to configure and launch your laboratory's workflow, and a recurring managed-service subscription for hosting, backups, support, and ongoing change. You get a written scope and quote before any work starts.
Start with a lab type, current system, and one bottleneck. Do not submit confidential sample, client, or report data.1. Implementation
A one-time, fixed-scope engagement that takes your laboratory from its current system (or spreadsheets) to a working Clearline record. It covers workflow mapping, configuration of sample types, analyses, methods and roles, report templates, data migration, training, and go-live support. Validation activities are planned with your quality team; the laboratory keeps its own validation decisions.
2. Managed service
A recurring subscription that covers hosting, monitoring, backups, security updates, support, and an agreed allowance for configuration change. You don't need to run servers or keep LIMS administrators on staff to keep the system healthy.
What drives the price
- Laboratories and users. How many sites and named roles need access.
- Workflow breadth. Number of sample types, methods, analytes, and report formats to configure.
- Migration. Volume and condition of historical records you want carried forward.
- Integrations. Instrument files, client portals, EDD exports, or other systems that need to connect.
- Validation and support depth. How much documented testing and response-time coverage your quality system requires.
Governed agents
Agentic workflows are in limited early access, with general availability targeted for Q1 2027. Early-access terms are discussed during scoping and are never a condition of the core LIMS subscription.
